Yes, that's 4 headbands, a side ponytail, and a scarf. The first day I tried to talk her out of a headband or two. The second day I didn't say anything, but I did feel the need to comment to another mom we ran into that she did indeed put this ensemble together herself. Finally, by the third day, I didn't blink an eye. I let her freely express her own fashion sense. I'm learning to let the little things go. And she's learning to be an independent thinker. Sounds so great, but it's soooo hard. I'm working on it.

Learning to Pick My Battles
This is how my daughter left the house 3 out of the past 7 days.

Monday Meal Planning: My NEW Planner!
We don't have a super thrilling menu
planned this week, but I am pretty excited about my new menu planner I
made this weekend. Due to a power outage at our house last night, I
didn't get to upload and ready all the pictures to show my little diy
project, but I will. In the meantime, here's our meal plan for the week
on my new write on/wipe off planner (insert: giddy grin):

i've not commented on a blog that's on this site yet, but i really can relate to the hair issue. my daughter does the same stuff. but i chose to correct her. maybe i did the wrong thing. maybe it's things like that that i need to let go too.
